ESTABLISHING A COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE

which will be a Hub for rendering services to people of different age groups. It will consist of Centers that will provide services to different categories of age groups and having different needs for Healthy Life and Well-being.

The first category of people that will be given special consideration is the Old Age group consisting of Elderly People (51 – 80 years old) and Senior Citizens (81-100 years old). This group will be cared for either at the Institute or in their homes depending on the condition of their health and mobility.

The second category of people that will benefit from the services offered by the Institute are the Active Adults (30 – 50 years old) who are keen to follow Health and Wellness sessions that will help them to avoid Chronic Diseases and hence will enable them to attain old age in healthy status.

This Community Training Centre will empower different categories of Vulnerable Groups with Skills for Employment and Self- Employment. The Target Groups that will be catered for at this Centre include:
Unemployed youth
Orphans
Children from Displaced Families
Children from Very Poor Families who are struggling for survival
Young Single Mothers who have dropped out of school due to pregnancy
Children with Disabilities.

The most efficient way to cater for these vulnerable groups of the young generation is through Training and Skills Development, in order to empower them to become productive members of society. Once they are equipped with Skills that will enable them to get Employment or to be Self-Employed, they will be Financially Independent and will contribute towards Self-Development and also towards Nation- Building.
The Centre will cater for the Training and Skills Development of different categories of Youth whose Formal Education has been affected for one reason or another ( due to war; displacement; poverty; physical disabilities; teenage pregnancies; child abuse; child labor; etc.).This Community Training Centre will offer a wide range of Vocational Skills depending on the Business or Job Opportunities available in the home environment of the Trainees.
